Introduction to Good Aid and Development [MS]
We now know the difference between individual and system level responses to poverty and have a greater understanding of what affects and defines poverty, but what about the agencies and groups that work in poverty alleviation?
Charities, NGOS, not-for-profits, Social Enterprise and missionaries – aren’t they all the same thing?
What does good development actually look like?
What is best practice?
How can I tell whether the groups I support are being effective or not? What can I do personally?
What is the role of the church and outsiders in development? All these questions are explored in our next course.
